This Sim had a major role in some of Lifesimmer's let's plays.
Mackayla starts out in Supernatural as a very pampered little kid. By the time of Seasons, she is much more humble and maternal, because Lifesimmer wanted the Let's Play to be more family-based.
The Sims 3: Supernatural LP
Mackayla was adopted as a Child by Raven Twist. She was raised in Moonlight Falls; it can be assumed that she was born there. Lifesimmer said that Raven was very lucky to have a Child as cute as Mackayla.
At the time of the LP, viewers wanted Makayla and Caleb to date once Mackayla has reached Teen status. However, Lifesimmer stated that Caleb was her big brother figure.
Raven wanted Mackayla to become a Witch and Lifesimmer even tried to buy her a wand, but she could not figure out how to convert Mackayla.
Mackayla was a Teen by the end of the LP. She did not appear in the final part of Supernatural.
The Sims 3: Seasons LP
After Supernatural ended. Mackayla's life continued in the Seasons LP. Some time had evidently passed since Supernatural. Mackayla had married Kris and has two kids with him: Lola and Jermiah. When the Twists moved into their new home, Lifesimmer joked that Mackayla went from "living the life" to "this".
Mackayla became employed in the Education career and she eventually had another baby named Angelo. Later in the LP, Mackayla became a grandmother to Jeremiah's son, Robert Twist. Lola has a son named Lawrence by the time of The Sims 3: University Life LP, but Mackayla does not feature in this LP as she has long since passed on by this time.
Mackayla dies of Old Age towards the end of the Seasons Let's Play.
- Mackayla is named for a friend of Lifesimmer's, attributing to the unusual spelling of the name.
- Mackayla originally had the Can't Stand Art and Star Quality traits, but in Seasons LP Lifesimmer replaced them with Photographer's Eye and Nurturing traits.
- Mackayla actually died as a Young Adult at the beginning of Seasons, but LifeSimmer reloaded the save game file. The clip showing her demise was released as a blooper.
